Graduate student Sarah Denha, who also earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from OU, conducts groundbreaking research on neurodegenerative disease Ataxia Type 5. Understanding the underlying mechanisms that affect normal function of neurons will help develop future therapies for a currently untreatable disease.
